About Me
Hi! My name is Maria Torres, it’s nice to meet you! I am a first-generation Mexican-American creative, whose focus is on telling stories of those who are marginalized and underrepresented in television and film.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film with a focus on sound and on-set production work. As a filmmaker, I collaborated with many of my friends and cohorts developing films throughout my four years. I am open to new experiences and new opportunities within film, television, and advertising.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to female/queer artists, developing my own screenplays, and playing video games with friends.
The latest video games I have been playing are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild & Pokemon Sword. A lot of Nintendo Switch time! :D
